Our family has a Cottage home on a lot here and we have always loved this place with no complaints what so ever but when we came this weekend we noticed a big change. The store doesn't have half the things it did just 6 months ago. No toothbrush n. The pool was cold which was a bummer because that was one of my favorite things here having a comfy pool to bath in. I asked around and found its under new management and it was obvious I wasn't the only one disappointed.

In the travels from DE to FL we like to spend a night here. Good restaurant right in the park

Love this place especially the waitress named Tiffany I get her all the time ask for her my opinion she's there best one

My husband and I just stayed at Grand Lake for 2 nights. We originally booked 4 nights to stay through the holiday weekend. We decided to leave early for a few reasons. Most of the property is quite beautiful. There is a gated entry and the road is lined with big beautiful oak trees. Half of the property with the RV sites is also very nice with lots of shade from the oaks; however, the other half (where we were) is a just a big, open, very hot field with absolutely no shade. There are many permanent trailers in this park and many full-time residents. We met one full-timer who told us that the residents refer to the field as “the ghetto” and the nice wooded sites as “snobville”. In Florida, in July, an open field in an RV just isn’t doable, so we decided to leave early. I can’t find anywhere on their website that this is a 55+ community, but it definitely feels like a 55+ retirement community, which is great if that’s what you’re expecting and what you’re looking for. There are no picnic tables and no fire rings. Also, we travel with our 3 small dogs and we use a portable pet fence so that they can hang out with us when we’re sitting outside in the evenings. It’s a small fence, 2 ft high and we place it around our outdoor rug to enclose the space for them to have freedom with us. I received a phone call while we were on the golf course on Day 2 of our stay that we were not allowed to use the pet fence and it would have to be taken down immediately. I checked their website and the sheet of “do’s and don’ts” that we received upon checking in and nowhere does it state that pet fences are not allowed. We took it down as soon as we got back to our RV, rules are rules, but it should be made clear what’s allowed and what isn’t. I find it a little odd that pet fences are not allowed, but permanent trailers, clotheslines and outdoor sheds are. The more we travel, the more it seems that this is the norm in Florida; trailer parks with full-time or seasonal residents instead of RV parks/campgrounds where people come and stay for a few days and then go home. If you’re looking for a place to relax for a few days with your family (kids/pets), build a fire in the evenings to sit out and enjoy, Grand Lake is not the place. If you’re looking for a place to retire, live in a trailer and ride around in your golf cart all day, then this place is perfect.

Nice park. Needs some upkeep though. Seen a lot of bugs.
